Why did you choose this program?
Program Testimonials
I was lucky enough in high school to get to know some spanish-speaking parts of Europe and South America. There is plenty more that I would like to see, but Buenos Aires was (and still is) one of my favorite cities to have seen. It has an incredible history and is full of culture- both European and Latin American. Buenos Aires was on my short list of locations at the very beginning, and what really pushed me to choose the Paris of South America was the wide range of opportunities I would be offered. Beautiful museums, impressive street art, great food and night life that does last all night are a just a few of the things you can choose from while deciding on how to spend your time. Outside of Buenos Aires, the opportunities are just as impressive with even more variety.
All these things helped push me towards Buenos Aires, a decision I would gladly make again.

What was your favorite aspect of this program?
Program Testimonials
Getting to know some great people from all over the US, as well as all over South America. The teachers and counselors were all great and very helpful with any issues or culture shock.

What was your housing situation like?
Program Testimonials
I lived in student housing that was dorm styled. It was a combination of Americans and Latin kids (mostly from Argentina, but a good few were from other countries). The internet was on and off and at times the Latin kids didn't really see the need in a quiet study area, but it was a great experience. Getting to know so many kids so well is something that would have been very hard if I'd been living in a homestay, and the Latin kids were always accepting and helpful. The residence hall was very safe and secure and we would leave our stuff sitting around (much like we would at Wofford) without any fear of someone taking it.

What did you gain from studying abroad?
Program Testimonials
My spanish improved tremendously, and that was the most important thing for me going in to the experience. I really got to know Argentina and it's culture and consider myself part porteño now.
