Budget estimate based on Spring 2024 fees (Updated 10/30/2023)
For program dates: January 22 - May 11, 2024 **
1. Housing & Included Meals: No meals are included in housing. The figure above is for students in a Studio or Shared apartments. Students who opt for a Premium Studio apartment with a private kitchenette will be billed a supplemental $750 fee around a month after the program begins.
2. Educational Travel: Optional IES field trips range in cost from $0 - $710.
3. Visa: Fee includes Student Visa fees ($167), residence permit fee ($134, paid on-site) and potential travel to Washington, DC ($299) for required consular visit.
4. Passport: The estimated cost above includes the $60 fee for expedited service. The U.S. State Department is currently experiencing delays in receiving passport applications with routine processing service estimated to take a minimum of 14 weeks. We, therefore, recommend that students send their application using USPS’ Priority Mail Express and request expedited service. Click here for more information on securing a passport.
Please note you may have additional expenses related to required or recommended immunizations. The Wofford College Office of International Programs urges you to consult your program materials, the Centers for Disease Control website, and your healthcare provider to assess such needs.
Your actual costs will vary from this estimate prepared by the Office of International Programs. Please compare this estimate to the information that you receive from your program and personalize it based on your chosen program options and personal plans. The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use when studying away from campus. All of the above expenses with the exception of independent travel and personal expenses may be used in configuring your financial aid package. Once you are admitted, you may contact the Financial Aid Office with questions regarding your financial aid package.
