For program dates May 22 - July 22, 2023 **
1. Tuition: The tuition figure above is for students earning 3 credits; students who plan to earn 6 credits must pay an additional fee. See the IES website for more details.
2. Housing & Meals: The figure above is for students planning to live in a homestay. Students living in apartments are billed an additional $400.
3. Educational Travel: Optional IES field trips range from $50 - $400.
4. Passport: The estimated cost above includes the $60 fee for expedited service. Due to COVID-19 and its impact on the U.S. Postal Service, the U.S. State Department is currently experiencing delays in receiving passport applications with routine processing service estimated to take as long as 11 weeks. We, therefore, recommend that students send their application using USPS’ Priority Mail Express and consider requesting expedited service if able. 5. Additional Meals: Meal costs vary by housing choice. The figure above is for students planning to live in a homestay, where two meals per day are provided by their host family. Students planning to live in an apartment should budget $1,350 for meals, since none are included in apartment housing.
Please note you may have additional expenses related to required or recommended immunizations. The Wofford College Office of International Programs urges you to consult your program materials, the Centers for Disease Control website, and your healthcare provider to assess such needs.
Your actual costs will vary from this estimate prepared by the Office of International Programs. Please compare this estimate to the information that you receive from your program and personalize it based on your chosen program options and personal plans. The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use when studying away from campus. All of the above expenses with the exception of independent travel and personal expenses may be used in configuring your financial aid package. Once you are admitted, you may contact the Financial Aid Office with questions regarding your financial aid package.
