We want to hear about your experience!
Why did you choose this program?
Program Testimonials
I chose this program solely based on the opportunities that DIS provided me. I really liked that I was able to go on trips throughout Europe that were included in the program and that focused on what I was studying. I feel like it gave me a much more hands on experience than I could've gotten elsewhere.

What was your favorite aspect of this program?
Program Testimonials
My favorite aspect of the program was my study tour to Belfast and Dublin. The work that we did in class made me more interested in the conflict in Northern Ireland, and then actually getting to go there and see what the culture is like firsthand was fascinating. I felt like we got to do so many things that I wouldn't have done or been able to do on my own (like visiting BBC Northern Ireland or touring the Bogside with a mural artist).

What was your favorite class and why?
Program Testimonials
My favorite class was my core course, Cross Cultural Communications. I decided to take the class because I was more interested in its subject matter than other communications courses, and it ended up having a huge effect on my future career plans. I loved the field studies that we went on (visiting International Media Support, Danish Refugee Council and Danish Parliament) and the study tours to Malmo and Belfast/Dublin and I felt like they provided real-world applications to what we were studying.

What did you gain from studying abroad?
Program Testimonials
I feel like I gained more independence and a broader worldview. Although I did not travel on my own outside of Denmark, I had many opportunities to explore Copenhagen on my own. The many different cultures that I experienced also helped me to understand people and places that are different than what I am used to (even if I consider Danish culture to be something that I am used to).
