1. Visa: Costs of express mail service or travel to Atlanta to apply in person. See the Atlanta Embassy website for current requirements.
2. Passport: The estimated cost above includes the cost of a routine passport application and photos. Click here for more information on securing a passport and expedited fees, if needed.
3. Other: Required Japanese National Health Insurance required on-site.
4. Additional Meals: The out-of-pocket cost of additional meals listed above is for students in apartments for groceries and eating out. Those in Homestays should budget for a total of $700, since 2 meals are provided daily.
Please note you may have additional expenses related to required or recommended immunizations. The Wofford College Office of International Programs urges you to consult our program materials, the Centers for Disease Control website, and your healthcare provider to assess such needs.
Your actual costs will vary from this estimate prepared by the Office of International Programs. Please compare this estimate to the information that you receive from your program and personalize it based on your chosen program options and personal plans. The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use when studying away from campus. All of the above expenses with the exception of independent travel and personal expenses may be used in configuring your financial aid package.
