Budget estimate based on Fall 2024 fees (Updated 3/18/2024)
For program dates: August 24 - December 13, 2024 **

1. Tuition & Additional Course Fees: Tuition includes the $2,115 Program Fee, which covers the costs of orientation, textbook rental, field study tours, and scheduled cultural activities. There is also an additional fee of $350 for enrolling in an art course for additional supplies.  Students enrolling in the Marchutz Core Art Program are charged an additional $1,500 for supplies and trips.

2. Housing and Included Meals: Housing is either demi-pension homestay with a French host, daily breakfast, and six dinners per week OR a student residence apartment with no meals included OR semi-independent homestay with no meals included. Students living in semi-independent homestay may have a reduced housing fee and should contact enroll@iau.edu for more information, if considering this option.

3. Visa: Figure includes Campus France Regular Service Fee ($250), VFS Service Fee ($28), FedEx Courier Fee ($39), Long Stay Student Visa Fee ($55) and travel to Atlanta Consulate ($50).  Students who use the Campus France Expedited Service Fee should budget an additional $140 in visa fees.

4. Additional Meals: Included meals vary by housing choice. The figure above is estimated from Fall 2023 figures for students staying in student residence apartments or semi-independent homestays, which do not  include any meals. Students staying in a homestay should budget approximately $700 total for meals since daily breakfast and six dinners per week are provided by their host family. We will update with Fall 2024 figures as soon as available from IAU.

5. Passport: The estimated cost above includes the cost of a routine passport application and photos. Click here for more information on securing a passport and expedited fees, if needed.

Please note you may have additional expenses related to required or recommended immunizations. The Wofford College Office of International Programs urges you to consult our program materials, the Centers for Disease Control website, and your healthcare provider to assess such needs.

Your actual costs will vary from this estimate prepared by the Office of International Programs. Please compare this estimate to the information that you receive from your program and personalize it based on your chosen program options and personal plans. The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use when studying away from campus. All of the above expenses with the exception of independent travel and personal expenses may be used in configuring your financial aid package. Once you are admitted, you may contact the Financial Aid Office with questions regarding your financial aid package.
