For dates of Blocks I, II, & III of August 19 - December 21, 2024 **
Please see the CIEE website for the cost of individual blocks and other block combinations.
1. Housing: Housing fee above is for Select Housing, which includes a double room or shared apartment at CIEE Berlin. Students in a homestay or triple/quad room in the residence hall can subtract $900 from the above fee. Students opting for a single room with Select Plus housing should budget an additional $1,800. See below for differences in meal costs.
2. Visa: Due from all full-semester students in Berlin or students who complete a full semester in continental Europe and spend at least one block in Berlin. This does not apply to students who possess a passport from the Schengen Treaty area.
3. Passport: The estimated cost above includes the cost of a routine passport application and photos. Click here for more information on securing a passport and expedited fees, if needed.
4. Additional Meals: The figure above is for students in the residence hall or a shared apartment, for which no meals are provided. Students in homestays receive two meals per day and should budget approximately $550 per semester for additional meals.
Please note you may have additional expenses related to required or recommended immunizations. The Wofford College Office of International Programs urges you to consult our program materials, the Centers for Disease Control website, and your healthcare provider to assess such needs.
Your actual costs will vary from this estimate prepared by the Office of International Programs. Please compare this estimate to the information that you receive from your program and personalize it based on your chosen program options and personal plans. The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use when studying away from campus. All of the above expenses with the exception of independent travel and personal expenses may be used in configuring your financial aid package. Once you are admitted, you may contact the Financial Aid Office with questions regarding your financial aid package.
