For program dates: August 16 - December 14, 2024 **
1. Housing: DIS offers various housing options, all of which are included in the Housing fee. However, transportation and meal costs vary by housing choice. For more information see Housing & Student Affairs Inclusions.
2. Local Transportation: DIS provides transportation coverage for the length of your daily commute from your housing to DIS if you are not within walking distance of DIS. For more information see DIS Transportation Coverage.
3. Personal: Expenses range from $1,000 - $3,000 depending on student spending habits.
4. Meals: DIS provides a food stipend to help offset your food costs, but this varies by housing choice and is not intended to cover your food costs for the entire semester. The figure above is for those staying in Residential Communities or Kollegiums, which DIS estimates at $400 - $550 per month (after DIS meal stipend). Homestays include some daily meals during the week, so meal costs are reduced. For more information on housing options and meal stipends, see Housing & Student Affairs Inclusions.
5. Passport: The estimated cost above includes the cost of a routine passport application and photos. Click here for more information on securing a passport and expedited fees, if needed.
Please note you may have additional expenses related to required or recommended immunizations. The Wofford College Office of International Programs urges you to consult your program materials, the Centers for Disease Control website, and your healthcare provider to assess such needs.

The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use when studying away from campus.
