For program dates: January 23 - May 18, 2024 **
1. Housing & Included Meals: Housing and meal costs vary by housing type. The figure above is for the Student Residence Hall, with a $750 supplemental fee, billed approximately 1 month after arrival. Students living in Homestays can subtract $750 from the housing fee, for a total of $3,503. Student Residence Halls include 17 meals/week and Homestays include 14 meals/week.
2. Educational Travel: Optional IES Field Trip costs range from $0 - $465.
3. Visa: Figure includes Consular fees ($160) and Wofford visa processing fee ($80).
4. Passport: The estimated cost above includes the $60 fee for expedited service. The U.S. State Department is currently experiencing delays in receiving passport applications with routine processing service estimated to take at least 14 weeks. We, therefore, recommend that students send their application using USPS’ Priority Mail Express and request expedited service. Click here for more information on securing a passport.
5. Additional Meals: The figure above is for students living in a Student Residence Hall. Those living in a Homestays should budget an additional $400 for a total of $1,000.
Please note you may have additional expenses related to required or recommended immunizations. The Wofford College Office of International Programs urges you to consult our program materials, the Centers for Disease Control website, and your healthcare provider to assess such needs.
Your actual costs will vary from this estimate prepared by the Office of International Programs. Please compare this estimate to the information that you receive from your program and personalize it based on your chosen program options and personal plans. The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use when studying away from campus. All of the above expenses with the exception of independent travel and personal expenses may be used in configuring your financial aid package. Once you are admitted, you may contact the Financial Aid Office with questions regarding your financial aid package.
