1. Additional billable fees: the cost of two business-related courses is covered in the IES program fee. Students enrolling in 3+ courses at a partner institution are charged up to $1,870 per additional course.

2.  Housing & Included Meals: The figure above is for those staying in a double occupancy Apartment or Residence Hall, with no meals provided.  Students who opt for a single room in an Apartment or Residence Hall ($1,000), double room in a Residence Hall with 14 meals/week ($1,500) or single room Residence Hall with 14 meals/week ($2,500) are billed the additional supplemental fees shown in parentheses approximately one month after the program begins.

3.  Educational Travel: IES optional field trips range from $250 - $500.

4.  Visa fees: Figure includes consular fees ($59) and Wofford visa processing fee ($75). 

5.  Books & Supplies: Textbooks and course materials range in cost from $50-$120.

6.  Additional Meals: The out-of-pocket cost of additional meals varies by housing type. The figure above is for those staying in an Apartment (single or double occupancy), with no meals provided. Those staying in a Residence Hall that includes 14 meals/week should subtract $2,200 from the figure above, budgeting a total of $1,200 for additional meal costs.

7.  COVID Test: Cost for COVID-19 testing in Italy is currently required for re-entry to the U.S. for all travelers. Students may incur costs for other pre- and post-arrival COVID tests in their host country as well.  Please see Department of State COVID country specific information for updated entry and exit testing requirements.

Please note you may have additional expenses related to required or recommended immunizations. The Wofford College Office of International Programs urges you to consult your program materials, the Centers for Disease Control website, and your healthcare provider to assess such needs.

Your actual costs will vary from this estimate prepared by the Office of International Programs. Please compare this estimate to the information that you receive from your program and personalize it based on your chosen program options and personal plans. The Financial Aid Office utilizes this cost estimate when approving scholarships, grants and student loans for use when studying away from campus. All of the above expenses with the exception of independent travel and personal expenses may be used in configuring your financial aid package. Once you are admitted, you may contact the Financial Aid Office with questions regarding your financial aid package.
