DIS Summer in Scandinavia 

Our summer calendar gives you the flexibility to create the summer abroad that is right for you. Choose from a variety three-week and six-week sessions offered in Copenhagen and Stockholm, or combine multiple sessions to stay up to nine weeks, study in both locations, and earn up to nine credits over your summer.

Go on Study Tour to Europe
Use Europe as your classroom when on week-long Study Tour, where you travel with your class to better understand your academic topics in a new, relevant context. Study Tours are included in all courses within Session 2, both Furniture Design Sessions, and the Architecture & Design Session, plus select other courses.

Arctic Experiential Studies: Greenland
6 Weeks | 6 Credits | May 26 - July 10

The Arctic is at the center of major global challenges, including climate change and increasing geopolitical tensions. With its strategic location between Europe and North America, and as home to the world’s second-largest ice sheet, Greenland offers a unique vantage point for studying these issues up close.

This signature summer session includes:
  • 4 weeks spent in Greenland, bookended by 2 weeks in Copenhagen
  • Two 3-credit courses with a focus on Greenland, its geology, peoples, and culture
  • Highly-selective and intimate cohort of around 20 students
  • Full coverage of tuition and course costs for all students accepted
